Many of us date poorly. A high view of true, biblical manhood and womanhood leads us to a high view of dating. May we date well, intentionally, and for the glory of God. With Spring just around the corner I thought it would be a great time to give you aspiring lovers out there some tips on dating. Who wants to get dating advice from a pastor? But my hope in this is only to help you, after all God created relationships, and so you would be a fool to not at least consider his a perspective on dating that is grounded in scripture.
And beyond Biblical perspective, this advice also comes from experience, if I have to be honest when I was single and dating I broke every one of these rules in one way or another and it always cost me. Dating is a serious game and one that you should enter into with prayer and with humility.

Due to the lack of opportunity, apps reign supreme in the dating world of today.
Some may consider the goal to be marriage.

The same story happens again and again. Young people, despite their better judgment and how they were raised, date someone they know they shouldn’t really be dating. Over time, simply because of the amount of time they spend together, they fall in love or into sin. They know in their heart it’s not someone they should marry but they marry them anyway. And then trouble comes Unfortunately over the years, this is a horror story we’ve heard again and again.
When young people head down this road, most times they don’t want us to counsel them and marry them. They don’t want us to know what’s really going on, they don’t want us to know what kind of choice they’re making, despite their better judgment and what God’s Word says.
